You’ve been invited to attend a gala with the Grammy-award-winning band Imagine Dragons.
You are going on a volunteer basis and will be required to help set up, run around, clean up, etc.
The dress code is black.
So seriously, how does one run around getting stuff done while still looking fabulous and gala-ready? The answer is a custom made Carissa Miss sequin jumpsuit.
I stewed over this problem for a long time. I could have worn a black mumu or something free-flowy and shapeless, but meh. That simply didn’t feel fancy enough. When the inspiration hit, it was such a “DUH” moment. OF COURSE! I should call my friend Carissa and ask her to sew me something incredible out of black sequins!
I had never thought about creating my own sequin ensemble – it seriously never crossed my mind. I’d shop online and I scour shops like ChicWish, or SheIn, or even Amazon but nothing ever compared to this.
Plus, did you see the sequin jumpsuit has pockets? POCKETS?!
I can’t even begin to tell you what a godsend this sequin jumpsuit was. I arrived early, set up banners, ran around, and did some grunt work – all while looking fabulous. Obviously.
The night was incredible. If you haven’t heard of the Tyler Robinson Foundation then I’d highly recommend looking it up. There was food, a silent auction, an interactive 3d experience, celebrities, and a private acoustic performance by the band Imagine Dragons. It was so magical and we were happy to be there volunteering and helping a worthy cause.
Now I’m wondering if I need this Carissa Miss sequin jumpsuit in other colors. My initial thought it white – a really shiny white sequin? I die. But what color sequin jumpsuit would you love to see?
I was worried that this sequin jumpsuit would collect dust after this event, but it definitely hasn’t! I’ve worn this to parties and conferences – it’s amazing how it can be dressed up or down. The joys of sequins!
