In a large bowl, sift the flour.
In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar
Slowly add sugar to the creamed butter.
Mix well, knead with hands if necessary.
Press into a greased 12x7 1/2 inch pan.
Prick the entire pan with a fork.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until light brown.
Let cool completely.
Go around the edges with a knife.
Flip shortbread onto a plate.
Bang the pan to help release the shortbread.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
