When we went to Summerfest this summer, we desperately wanted to try something different. Of course, there were the funnel cakes, mexican, and sloppy BBQ tents, but we were looking for more. Tucked in the back corner, we found a little stand for Bacon wrapped dogs. They were to DIE for. We knew we could perfect them by adding HIGH quality bacon and a bratwurst (instead of a hot dog). Since then, the bacon wrapped brat has been a favorite.

It took us a few times, but we {actually Handsome} perfected the techniques. Ready to hear our secrets?
Tip #1: Toothpicks. Lifesavers. We used two, but I don’t know that you could use too many… right?

Oh my, that looks so good. I love bacon and brats. We’ve tried bacon wrapped dogs before but its hard to not get the grease to flame up. I think the top rack is our answer!
