Spring Break Guide: How to create a Kini Swimsuit

Guys. I had never heard of a Kini Swimsuit, but OH. MY. GOODNESS. I’m so glad because WOW. Kini Swimwear is pretty much the best thing to ever happen to me (as far as swimming suits are concerned).

Usually the thought of creating a custom swimming suit is CRAZY hard, there are too many choices, and I can NEVER make a decision. So yeah – I was a little nervous to start this process.

However, when I went to their website it was SUPER easy to navigate and I wasn’t as overwhelmed as I thought I’d be.

First up, you can pick how you want to customize. Do you want to start from scratch (start designing), pick one that’s already been made (pre-designed), or shop by your body shape (shop by shape)?

I tried each of these options and realized I liked the option to start from scratch, or “start designing.” Shocker, right?

From here, I picked my style of suit. There’s a bikini, a tankini, and a one piece.

Never fear – each option has their own set of options. So if I had picked “bikini” these were the options I could choose from:

If I had chosen “tankini” here were my options – I could choose which top and then which bottoms I liked.

I ended up picking the “one piece” option because that fits my stage of life right now. Plus, there’s an option to add ruched fabric. The answer is ALWAYS.

From there, the real tricky part comes into play – COLORS. Each piece can be customized and colored separately. Oh. My. Indecision. The struggle is SO real. Here are the “regular” colors.

Next, we have the metallic colors. I know – I went a little weak in the knees when I saw that this was an option. Holy SPARKLES!!!

Finally – the prints. SO many cute prints and so many different ways to style.

Again, the customization and fabulous-ness of the entire process was far too easy. Not overwhelming. The hardest part (for me) was making a decision and sticking with it because ALL THE OPTIONS ARE SO DANG CUTE!!
