Back to School with Shabby Apple Santanna

You know when you want something? Like REEEEEALLY want something and then you start seeing it EVERYWHERE?! I saw this Shabby Apple Santanna dress (FOUND HERE) and fell in love, but my timing was off and we (ahem – OK JUST ME!) were trying to be more conscientious of our spending habits. So I refrained, knowing full well I’d buy this stunner Shabby Apple Santanna dress, but it needed to wait.

Then one friend posted about it on social media. And another. And another. I was seriously being taunted by this amazing Shabby Apple Santanna dress. But I stayed strong.

Suddenly, summer was over and it was time for back to school shopping with my little Kindergartner. We hit up a few stores and got a few essentials, and then it hit me: Why am I not buying something for myself? Who says “Back to school” shopping is only for the kids? I deserve to be pampered too! Really though, I just wanted that darn Shabby Apple Santanna dress. Finally. I own THE DRESS.

And I did it – I finally got the dress. FINALLY.

Can I just say… it was worth the wait. SO worth the wait.

Hallelujah for a dress with sleeves and a super flattering waist. No alterations or undershirts necessary here – I’ll be fabulous on my way back to school….or while I sit at home watching tv and eating ice cream. Either way, right?

My dress has more blue than white (refer back to the picture) and I LOVE it. Extra tie-dye goodness is always a good thing by me!

So a reminder to you mamas: When it’s time for back to school shopping – don’t forget yourself, because you’ve survived all summer long and you freaking deserve it. Need I say more? Now pass me that ice cream.
