I would consider myself a sugar cookie expert. Seriously. My sister and I LOVE sugar cookies. Some are better than others, but we are no respecters of these tasty treats. I recently made Vintage Revival’s copycat “Swig” cookies and I was hooked. If you haven’t tried those, you’d better head on over ASAP and get enlightened FAST!
Since I made my own birthday cake, I requested that my mom make her sugar cookies. No no – not any ordinary cookie. These things are like little melts of heaven. They literally dissolve in your mouth and leave you with a happy face. I’m serious here.
My mom did not disappoint. She showed up the next day with, NO JOKE, 100 cookies. Um…excuse you? What the H am I gonna do with this many freaking cookies? {We’ll get to that part a bit later…}

And then, my friends, you will see what I mean by a MELT IN YOUR MOUTH sugar cookies. Oh my goodness. Like I mentioned, I probably had 100. I’m not even exaggerating here. I wanted to see what would happen if I froze them, and, lo and behold!, still delicious in my mouth. It was a great success. No cookies were wasted, but saved for a rainy day instead.

I am a weird sugar cookie eater. I hate when I feel like I’m eating frosted play dough, I also hate when there’s nothin but sugar in them!
I’m gonna have to try these. They look awesome!

So they are like meltaways, but sandwich cookies. How fun! Cute new blog look btw. 🙂

Ooooh… these looks delicious! I can already envision them melting in my mouth.

I love sugar cookies, these sound delightful! I haven’t tried the Swig ones (real or copy cat) so I will have to check those out too!

I agree with Amber! They are a lot like meltaways, which are always a favorite! They look amazing, and I love that you made them into little sandwich cookies!
Kaylynn Zoe says
Meltaways….oh my… do you have a recipe for that Jess?
Candace says
About how many cookies does this recipe make?
Kaylynn Zoe says
Oooh… Candace, it depends…. I’ve made them into sandwiches (but it doesn’t make as many) and I’ve made them as a single cookie with frosting on top. I’d say a dozen or so if you do the sandwich. Obviously it’d made more if you just did singles. Hope that helps!

thanks so much! I am suppose to bring cookies to a fancy Christmas party and I was thinking of making these and maybe drizzling chocolate on them….for a touch more of fanciness.
