I am a huge fan of biscuits, but it wasn’t until I got married that I realized there was a SPECIAL recipe that I was accustomed to: velvety smooth biscuits. You think I’m joking? I don’t joke about my food.
Growing up, my mom would make these velvety smooth biscuits in a flash and they went with EVERYTHING. It was a fabulous sight to see her rolling out the dough and cutting out little circles. I can’t explain it, but my siblings and I LOVED these biscuits. We could eat them all day – especially if they were hot out of the oven.
Which brings me to my next point: “BISCUIT WEEK.” Get stoked dudes. The next few posts will be centered around these amazing morsels. I’ll be showing you all the amazing things you can do with these velvety smooth biscuits. I love that they’re ridiculously easy, versatile, and they’re delicious too – who knew?

Also..Im assuming baking powder?
Kaylynn Zoe says
Yes! Baking powder! My ADD brain likes to see “soda” or “powder” because if I see the word “baking” in front then I usually do the wrong one. I can’t explain it. Bless my special cooking heart!

These look so good! Last time I tried making biscuits it was a disaster. :/ I love that this uses whipping cream instead of shortening, I don’t like using shortening. Can’t wait to try this! Pinned!

Aha! It’s the whipping cream! Holy delicious! I made some biscuits for a recipe that is going live on Thursday. You can sub your biscuit recipe and do the rest my way….it’s dessert style and you will most likely be adding it to your desserts to try list from my blog 🙂

Probably wont get an answer since this post is so old. But…how many does this make??? Needing to feed 25 men at my restaurant, so around 45 biscuits. Please help as these look easy!!
Kaylynn Zoe says
Oh I for sure will answer you!! When I make this I do a single batch and it makes about two dozen with a 3 inch cutter.
So I would double or triple this recipe but it totally depends on the size of cup/cutter you’re using to cut. Does that make sense??
Shawna Kohl says
Totally makes sense!! Thank you so much for the reply! I can’t wait to make these and have them be my go to biscuits at home!
